Emart Holds First-Half Fruit Day: 30% Off Watermelons, 40% Off Apples

30% Off Chamoe Melon, 40% Off Blueberries, and More
Earn 3,000 e-Money Points with Purchases Over 30,000 Won

Emart announced on Friday, June 13, that it will hold a Fruit Day event for three days starting Friday, June 13.

This year’s first-half Fruit Day will offer discounts of up to 40% on 14 types of fruit when customers pay the full amount with an event card (Emart e, Samsung, KB Kookmin, Shinhan, NH Nonghyup, Hyundai, Woori, Lotte, Hana).

First, all watermelon varieties (except Kkamang Apple and pre-cut watermelon) will be offered at a 30% discount when paid for with an event card. For example, the Farmers Pick sugar-level selected watermelon (under 8kg) will be reduced from the regular price of 20,900 won to 14,630 won, and the Farmers Pick premium region watermelon (under 8kg) will be sold at the regular price of 10,750 won.

Seongju chamoe melon (3 to 8 pieces), greenhouse tangerines (800g), and Zespri gold kiwifruit (pack, New Zealand origin) will each be sold at a 30% discount for 6,986 won, 8,680 won, and 11,886 won, respectively. Domestic blueberries (200g) will be available at a 40% discount for 4,980 won, and jujube cherry tomatoes (1.5kg) will be sold at a 30% discount for 6,986 won.

Seasonal fresh fruits will also be sold at affordable prices. Cherries (500g, U.S. origin), nectarines (5 to 9 pieces), and raspberries (350g) will each be sold at a 20% discount from the regular price, for 11,184 won, 5,980 won, and 8,960 won, respectively, when paid for with an event card.

The selection has been greatly expanded to include popular fruits that are in steady demand throughout the year. Apples, which rank second in annual fruit sales, will be offered as Dimple Apples (4 to 8 pieces, bagged) at a 40% discount from the regular price of 12,900 won to 7,740 won. Bananas, which rank sixth, will be offered as highland bananas at a 40% discount from the regular price of 5,980 won to 3,588 won.

Emart Everyday will also hold a Fruit Day event during the same period, offering discounts of up to 40%.

Kwak Daehwan, head of produce at Emart, said, "We have planned this large-scale fruit event to stimulate consumption and lower prices," adding, "This year, in addition to price promotions, we have added fun elements using the Emart app, so we expect many customers to participate."
