BMW Korea has been hosting the BMW Ladies Championship in Korea since 2019. The tournament was held at LPGA International Busan in 2019 and 2021, at Oak Valley Country Club in Wonju, Gangwon Province in 2022, and at Seowon Valley Country Club's Seowon Hills Course in Paju, Gyeonggi Province in 2023 and last year. The tournament was not held in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19.
BMW Korea explained, "In order to establish a unique heritage and a tradition as a sustainable tournament, we are holding the event at prestigious courses across the country, similar to the US Open and The Open Championship." Han Sangyun, CEO of BMW Korea, stated, "We are pleased to be able to continue hosting the BMW Ladies Championship, the only LPGA event in Korea," and added, "We will do our utmost to thoroughly prepare for the next five years so that we can repay the passionate support of our fans."
