A Non-Sweet Japanese-Style Highball
Crafted with Whiskey and Sparkling Water
On June 12, Shinsegae L&B announced the launch of a new authentic ready-to-drink (RTD) canned highball product, "Evan Bourbon Highball Dry," in collaboration with Amazing Brewing Company.
Evan Dry is crafted using Evan Williams Bourbon Whiskey and carbonated water, preserving the original flavor of the whiskey without any added flavorings or sweeteners. Its distinguishing features are a clean finish without sweetness, reminiscent of Japanese-style highballs, and the deep, unique taste of whiskey.
Since last year, Shinsegae L&B has been actively entering the RTD canned highball market by collaborating with Amazing Brewing Company, a leading craft beverage company in Korea, to introduce the "Evan Bourbon Highball." This product has attracted the attention of whiskey enthusiasts because it uses real whiskey sourced from Evan Williams, the first distillery in Kentucky, USA, and because it is the first product of its kind to be launched in Korea for the global market.
A representative from Shinsegae L&B stated, "Although the domestic RTD canned highball market has been growing rapidly recently, most products are sweet styles based on neutral spirits with added fruit flavors and sweeteners. Evan Dry is expected to become a new alternative not only for whiskey enthusiasts but also for consumers who have grown weary of the sweetness of existing RTD canned highballs, as well as those who remember the dry highballs they experienced during trips to Japan."
