Park Sooyoung, an analyst at Hanwha Investment & Securities, commented, "Lotte Tour Development posted strong results in the first quarter, and although it may be somewhat early, we expect solid performance in the second quarter as well. After a seasonally slow first quarter, results in April and May were strong, with May setting all-time highs in casino visitor numbers, drop amount, and net sales."
He added, "The strong performance in May was likely driven by the Chinese Labor Day holiday. In addition, active marketing activities such as telemarketing based on the customer database secured last year are expected to contribute significantly to the company's flexible improvement in performance throughout the year."
He further noted, "The expansion in the number of international cities directly connected to Jeju Island is also expected to attract new customers and contribute to improvements in the company's casino metrics and overall performance. We believe expectations should be high not only for the second quarter but also for the third quarter, which marks the start of the peak season."
