Bear Creek Amateur Championship to Tee Off on July 1
National Team Points Awarded to Winner and Top Finishers
Past Champions Include Park Minji, Lim Heejeong, and Hong Jungmin
The Bear Creek Amateur Golf Championship will be held over four days starting July 1 at the Bear Course (par 72) of Bear Creek Pocheon in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province.
The tournament is organized by the Korea Golf Association (KGA) and hosted by Bear Creek Golf Club. National team selection points will be awarded to the winner and top finishers. This year, a total of 96 players will compete, including 48 men and 48 women.

This year marks the ninth edition of the tournament. Notable past champions include Lee Jeongeun6, who won the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour money title for two consecutive years before advancing to the LPGA Tour; Park Minji, who has 19 career KLPGA Tour victories; Hong Jungmin, who claimed her second career win at this year's first major, the KLPGA Championship; Lim Heejeong, a five-time KLPGA Tour winner; and Lee Jaekyung, who was named the 2019 Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Tour Rookie of the Year and has three career wins.
Since last year, the tournament organizing committee has operated an official website for the convenience of players and spectators. A leaderboard display board showing real-time scores will be installed at the central plaza of Bear Creek Pocheon Golf Club. Additional amenities for players include a tour van from a golf equipment company, a newly created practice green, and a bunker practice area, all of which highlight the organizers' attention to player comfort.
