Road Campaign Launched at Korea Tourism Organization in Seoul
Special Promotional Booth Operated at Macro Local Market
Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do is ramping up its marketing efforts to attract tourists for the upcoming summer season as part of the 2025 Visit Sancheong Year initiative.
According to Sancheong-gun on June 12, a joint road campaign under the theme '休, Breathe Summer GYEONGNAM' will be held at the outdoor plaza of the Korea Tourism Organization in Seoul on June 13 and 14, in collaboration with other cities and counties.
The campaign will promote Sancheong's outstanding tourism resources targeting the summer vacation season, and will introduce the joys of traveling in Sancheong through a visitor stamp tour and nighttime performance events.
From June 13 to 21, a special joint promotional booth with Hadong-gun will be set up at the Macro Local Market in Jamsil Station, Seoul. The booth will emphasize a cute and bright image by featuring adorable characters from Sancheong and Hadong, in cooperation with Gyeongsangnam-do and the Gyeongsangnam-do Tourism Foundation.
In addition, unique events and the distribution of goods and souvenirs are planned to encourage tourist visits. Previously, from June 5 to 8, Sancheong-gun participated in the Seoul International Tourism Fair, actively promoting attractions such as the Jirisan Valley and rafting on the Gyeongho River.
Furthermore, on June 14 and 15, a mission tour will be held at Donguibogam Village, and a variety of tourism events and incentive programs are being implemented to attract more visitors.
Lee Seunghwa, the county governor, stated, "Through this marketing campaign targeting the vacation season, we will widely promote the joy and charm of Sancheong tourism," adding, "We will make even greater efforts to ensure that Sancheong-gun, which has been recognized as the number one summer vacation destination in the nation for visitor satisfaction, becomes a place people want to visit and revisit."
