The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Election Commission has filed a complaint with the Donghae Police Station against YouTuber A, accusing them of violating the Public Official Election Act by livestreaming the entire voting process at a polling station for the 21st presidential election and revealing their marked ballot.

According to the Gangwon Election Commission on June 11, A, who has approximately 4,000 subscribers, livestreamed the entire process on YouTube at the No. 2 polling station in Samhwa-dong, Donghae City on June 3, from identity verification to marking the ballot and depositing it in the ballot box. A is accused of revealing their marked ballot during this process.


Under the Public Official Election Act, it is prohibited to film ballots inside the voting booth or to reveal one's marked ballot.


The Gangwon Election Commission stated, "Strict measures are unavoidable for actions that disrupt the order of voting."
