Gokseong County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Josangrae) announced on the 11th that it held the "Unusually Good Day" event on the 10th at the village halls of Namyang, Chilbong, Heungbok, Sinhung, and Sangdeok in Gyeom-myeon, providing an opportunity for direct communication with residents.

"Unusually Good Day" is a field-oriented communication program in which Governor Josangrae personally visits villages to listen to residents' opinions on local issues and daily civil complaints, and to seek solutions together.

This event was originally scheduled to be held in March, but was temporarily postponed due to the 21st presidential election schedule. It resumed in early June, when the full-scale farming season began.

During the event, a variety of suggestions were received, including the installation of CCTV at the waste vinyl collection site, repairs to outdoor restrooms at the village halls, interior remodeling of the village halls, landscaping around the village halls, and installation of streetlights.

The county plans to review the complaints received on site through the relevant departments, provide individual notifications regarding whether the issues will be addressed, and thoroughly monitor the progress and follow-up management.

At the meeting with residents, Governor Jo expressed his gratitude, saying, "I deeply appreciate the residents who made time to attend despite being busy with rice planting and fieldwork," and added, "I will keep each promise made to the residents so that 'Unusually Good Day' can come more often, just like today."
