The 'Todeogi Train,' decorated with the official character of Gimhae City in Gyeongnam, is running on the light rail tracks connecting Gimhae and Busan.
On June 11, Gimhae City announced that the Todeogi Theme Train has been operating since June 7, running between Gayadae Station in Samgye-dong, Gimhae, and Sasang Station (West Bus Terminal) in Busan.

This is the second theme train following the 'Gaya Royal Capital Gimhae' train introduced in 2017, and it operates 8 to 12 round trips daily.
The exterior of the train features the Todeogi character on a brightly colored background that stands out even from a distance, while the interior is designed with storytelling content and photo zones that convey public transportation etiquette in an easy and entertaining way.
Todeogi was inspired by the mysterious bird, a duck, from the Gaya period, and was designed with a cute and friendly image. It was designated as the new character of Gimhae City in November 2023.

Park Bonghyun, the Communications and Public Relations Officer, stated, "The Todeogi Theme Train running through the city will further enhance the cityscape," adding, "We planned this project to naturally promote Gimhae City's official character, Todeogi, and to encourage the use of public transportation."
He also added, "Citizens using the train will be able to see attractions along the light rail line, such as the Daeseong-dong Tombs World Heritage Site, the National Gimhae Museum, and Yeonji Park, and feel as if they are riding a sightseeing theme train."
