KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters and Hope Railway Foundation Donate Items to Multicultural Families

KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters and the Hope Railway Foundation announced on June 11 that they jointly held a donation event to provide support items for multicultural families.

The event, held at Buk-gu District Office in Gwangju on the same day, was attended by representatives from KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters, the Hope Railway Foundation, the Honam Regional Headquarters of the Railway Workers' Union, and officials from the Buk-gu District Office.

Through this donation event, KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters and the Hope Railway Foundation delivered desks, bookshelves, and chair sets worth 7 million won to low-income multicultural families in the Buk-gu area of Gwangju. In particular, these donated items were handmade by members of the railway company's woodworking club, making the donation especially meaningful as it reflects the dedication and skills of the employees, going beyond a simple material contribution.

Kim Youngjin, Head of the Gwangju Headquarters, stated, "I hope that the furniture, made with the warm hearts of our employees, will help improve the learning environment for children in multicultural families," and added, "We will continue to take the lead in realizing social value and growing together with the local community."
