Yangsan Branch of the Federation for Having More Than One Child
Promotes Overcoming Low Birthrate at Woongsang Hoeya Festival
The Yangsan Branch of the Federation for Having More Than One Child (Branch Director Kang Myungsook) participated in the 2025 Yangsan Woongsang Hoeya Festival, which was held at Woongsang Sports Park over two days on June 7 and 8, and successfully operated an experiential booth and promotional campaign aimed at spreading a birth- and child-rearing-friendly culture.

During this activity, a variety of programs were offered for families visiting the event, including a toy hammer-making experience, a placard performance to overcome low birthrate, and the distribution of guidebooks on pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting.
In particular, the toy hammer-making experience received an enthusiastic response from families with young children, providing parents and children with an opportunity to communicate and spend time together through the activity.
Additionally, the placard performance to overcome low birthrate used placards featuring family-friendly messages, such as the award-winning slogans from Yangsan City's population policy campaigns: "A child-rearing city of happiness for men, a hopeful Yangsan together with women," and "A city where children bloom, a Yangsan overflowing with happiness." By sharing these placards with citizens, the event raised awareness and fostered a sense of community regarding the issue of low birthrate in the local area.
Kang Myungsook, head of the Yangsan Branch, stated, "I hope this campaign serves as an opportunity to once again reflect on the importance of family and to spread a healthy culture of childbirth and parenting. We will continue to take the lead in making Yangsan a great place to have and raise children through a variety of citizen participation programs."
