Fostering Local Specialized Industries
and Revitalizing Youth Entrepreneurship
Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province is accepting applications for participants in the 'Agriculture·Culture Branding Startup Support Project' until June 16.
According to the county on June 11, this project aims to foster industries that reflect the unique characteristics of Jangsu County in line with the inaugural year of North Jeolla Province and to revitalize the local community through entrepreneurship. In addition, Jangsu County and the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Jeonju Kijeon University have formed a consortium to jointly implement the project.
A total of six prospective entrepreneurs will be selected. Applicants will receive entrepreneurship education and mentoring, and the six final candidates selected through a startup competition will each be provided with up to 9 million KRW in startup funding and customized mentoring.
The program is open to prospective entrepreneurs who reside in North Jeolla Province and are eligible to start a business in Jangsu County. Anyone who meets the qualifications may apply.
Hwang Hyuncheol, head of the Agricultural Industry Policy Division, stated, "We hope this project will provide practical support to county residents preparing for entrepreneurship," adding, "We will continue to make active efforts to revitalize the local economy and establish a startup infrastructure."
Prospective entrepreneurs wishing to apply can check the recruitment notice on the Jangsu County Office or Jeonju Kijeon University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation websites, prepare the required documents, and submit them in person or by mail.
