Jeonnam Nonghyup Hosts Yeong-Honam Women Leaders Namdo Culture Forum 'The 18th Yeong-Honam Women Leaders Namdo Culture Forum' event. Provided by Jeonnam Nonghyup

Jeonnam Nonghyup and the Jeonnam and Gyeongnam branches of the Gohyang Jubu Moim Association held the '18th Yeong-Honam Women Leaders Namdo Culture Forum' in Geoje, Gyeongnam on June 11.


This event, hosted by the Jeonnam and Gyeongnam Gohyang Jubu Moim, was attended by more than 50 employees of Jeonnam and Gyeongnam Nonghyup and members of the Jeonnam and Gyeongnam branches. Participants discussed ways to understand the public value of agriculture and rural communities and to revitalize rural areas. They also reaffirmed the importance of rice and pledged to take the lead in promoting rice consumption.


Lee Gwangil, head of Jeonnam Nonghyup, said, "I am grateful to the Gohyang Jubu Moim for serving as ambassadors who widely promote the value of agriculture and rural communities, and I ask you to take the lead in practical activities to boost rice consumption."


Shin Geumsuk, president of the Jeonnam branch of Gohyang Jubu Moim, stated, "Women leaders from Jeonnam and Gyeongnam will pool their wisdom and capabilities to create new value for the local community, and we will continue our social contribution activities through solidarity and harmony among members."


The 'Yeong-Honam Women Leaders Namdo Culture Forum,' which began in Jangseong, Jeonnam in 2006, has seen members of the Jeonnam and Gyeongnam Gohyang Jubu Moim visit each region every year. Through local cultural exploration and information exchange among members, they have been at the forefront of promoting local agricultural products, encouraging consumption, and practicing neighborly love.
