Four Basement to Sixteen Above-Ground Floors: Ten Officetel Buildings Planned
Construction to Begin Next Year, Completion Expected in 2030
Final Phase of Wirye Housing Development District
The plan to supply 1,377 officetel units in Complex Block 3 of the Wirye Bokjeong Station area, the final stage of the Wirye Housing Development District project, has been confirmed.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on June 11 that the architectural review for the "Wirye Bokjeong Station Area Complex Block 3 Development Project" was approved at the 6th Architecture Committee meeting.
This project marks the fourth and final phase of the Wirye Housing Development District and centers on the construction of an officetel complex with 1,377 units. The development will consist of ten officetel buildings, each with four basement levels and sixteen above-ground floors. Neighborhood living facilities and ancillary amenities will be provided on the first floor above ground.
The Architecture Committee encouraged the creation of a public pedestrian passage connecting Bokjeong Station to the residential area of the Wirye Housing Development District, to be used as a community rest area for citizens. The plan aims to improve accessibility from adjacent complexes to Bokjeong Station and to enhance connectivity with the office and commercial facilities in Bokjeong Station Area Complex Block 2.
In addition, the distance between buildings will be maximized to protect privacy, and the area for ancillary facilities such as daycare centers and small libraries will be expanded to improve residential conditions. After obtaining a building permit from Songpa District, construction of the Wirye Housing Development District Complex Block 3 is scheduled to begin next year, with completion expected in 2030.
Choi Jinseok, Director of Housing at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, stated, "With the approval of the architectural review for Complex Block 3, the final phase of the Wirye Housing Development District, the new town project will be completed. After completion, convenience of movement from the Wirye housing complex to Bokjeong Station will be improved, and the project is expected to contribute to revitalizing the area around the station."
