CNC International Expands into Skincare and Suncare, Aiming for Comprehensive ODM Growth

On June 11, CNC International, an Original Development Manufacturing (ODM) company specializing in cosmetics, announced its plan to expand its portfolio into the skincare and suncare sectors this year, aiming to become a comprehensive beauty ODM company.


CNC International achieved annual sales of 290 billion KRW last year with a single color cosmetics category. This year, the company intends to diversify its profitability by expanding its technological competitiveness into the basic, hybrid, and suncare categories.

For its skincare portfolio, CNC International plans to begin full-scale mass production in the second half of the year of high-performance formulations that reflect global skincare trends, featuring ingredients such as peach and manuka honey extracts, as well as plant-derived PDRN. Manuka honey and peach extracts are highly effective in moisturizing and promoting collagen cell production, respectively. PDRN is known for its outstanding effects on skin recovery and elasticity improvement.


In May, CNC International launched a high-performance ampoule that combines plant-derived PDRN and multi-complex collagen, delivering skin regeneration and enhanced skin density and elasticity. In July, the company plans to release a high-performance skincare line of four products, specifically formulated for sensitive skin, with peach and manuka honey extracts as the main ingredients. This four-product skincare line?comprising toner, serum, cream, and cream balm?will provide basic soothing and moisturizing benefits, while also promoting collagen production and offering antioxidant and anti-aging functionalities as part of its premium lineup.


In the hybrid cosmetics sector, the company plans to introduce innovative products that combine the functions of makeup and skincare. Recent launches include the 'Low Molecular Collagen Tangle Lip Serum,' which delivers deep hydration and natural volume by allowing low molecular collagen to rapidly penetrate the lips, and the 'Plumping Lip Oil,' which enables users to adjust the plumping intensity in two stages, offering a range from natural volume to instant lip enhancement. These products have attracted the attention of global partners. In August, CNC International plans to further lead market trends by releasing a hybrid lip cream product that provides rich hydration and an ointment-like protective barrier.


The mass production line for suncare products will also begin full-scale operation in the second half of the year. CNC International has established a dedicated 'Suncare Research Team' within its R&I Center to enhance its research and development capabilities, focusing on diversifying suncare formulations and developing innovative new formats. Through these efforts, the company will accelerate the mass production of suncare products tailored to global market trends and actively respond to rising global demand.


By expanding its product lineup, CNC International plans to further strengthen its collaboration with global clients, particularly in the North American and European markets. The company aims to increase the proportion of high value-added premium products in its sales, and to reinforce its foundation for sustainable global growth by diversifying its products, categories, and channels.


Bae Sua, CEO of CNC International, stated that the second half of this year will mark the starting point for the company to move beyond its established image as a 'color cosmetics powerhouse' and become a global comprehensive beauty ODM company. She expressed her ambition to leverage the differentiated technological competitiveness recognized in the makeup market for the skincare sector as well, thereby strengthening growth momentum and accelerating the expansion of global sales.
