Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pilho) announced on June 11 that it will launch a disaster prevention campaign under the theme "Our Actions Prevent Flood Damage" in preparation for heavy rainfall during the summer season.

This campaign was proactively planned by Hope Bridge as a leading disaster relief organization, taking into account the significant damage caused by heavy rainfall across the country every June and July. The association aims to minimize damage through the active participation and actions of the public.

The campaign emphasizes key behavioral guidelines. The main recommended actions for the public include: checking weather forecasts regularly, reading emergency disaster alerts, and evacuating immediately from underground spaces in case of flooding. In addition, the campaign highlights preventive measures such as not entering flooded underpasses, avoiding approaching utility poles and streetlights, staying away from riversides and streams, and refraining from inspecting rice paddy embankments or water channels during heavy rain.

Hope Bridge is encouraging public participation by installing campaign banners in various locations and sequentially posting card news and reminder content on the association's official social media channels.

Alongside the campaign, Hope Bridge is maintaining a 24-hour emergency response system to prepare for heavy rainfall during the summer. Disaster relief logistics centers located in Paju and Hamyang are stocked in advance with relief supplies to ensure immediate response to any damage.

Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, stated, "Hope Bridge is making thorough preparations to minimize damage from heavy rainfall this summer," and added, "We ask the public to familiarize themselves with flood prevention guidelines and to take small preventive actions in their daily lives."
