Established as Korea's Leading Black Soybean Beverage
On June 11, Pulmuone Nokchup announced that its 'Drinkable Black Soybean Juice' and 'Seoritae Soybean Juice Soy Milk,' both made from domestically grown Seoritae black soybeans, have received strong responses from health-conscious consumers, surpassing a cumulative sales total of 1 million bottles.
Both 'Drinkable Black Soybean Juice' and 'Seoritae Soybean Juice Soy Milk' are plant-based beverages made by grinding whole Seoritae Cheongja No. 5 black soybeans. Pulmuone has blended 99.75% carefully selected Seoritae soybean juice with only sun-dried sea salt, allowing consumers to fully enjoy the natural, healthy flavor of whole soybeans. In addition, the beverages contain ground soybean pulp, germ, and skin, maximizing not only nutritional value but also delivering a rich and savory taste.
In response to consumer demand for plant-based beverages and black foods, Pulmuone Nokchup launched 'Drinkable Black Soybean Juice' in June last year, leveraging Pulmuone's competitive edge in whole soybeans. To make it easier for consumers to purchase black soybean juice products online, the company also introduced 'Seoritae Soybean Juice Soy Milk' in October last year, expanding its lineup of black soybean beverages.
As of April, cumulative sales of the two products surpassed 1 million bottles, demonstrating their product strength. Notably, 'Drinkable Black Soybean Juice,' which recently obtained vegan certification, saw its sales grow more than 2.5 times within just one year of launch, establishing itself as Korea's leading black soybean beverage. 'Seoritae Soybean Juice Soy Milk' is also expanding its consumer base to women in their 30s and 40s through online sales channels.
A Pulmuone Nokchup representative stated, "We are delighted that Pulmuone Nokchup's black soybean juice has been loved by so many consumers, thanks to the popularity of black foods. We will continue to introduce plant-based beverages that reflect diverse consumer needs and target a wide range of consumer groups, further strengthening our plant-based beverage portfolio."
