In particular, opinions were raised regarding the expansion of support for initial settlement in farming, increased opportunities for agricultural education, and improvements to the allocation method for successor agricultural manager development funds.
One young farmer who attended the meeting said, "It was very encouraging that the mayor personally listened to and empathized with the voices of young people," adding, "It was another opportunity to feel Damyang County’s interest and affection for young farmers."
Mayor Jeong stated, "I wanted to have a comfortable and honest conversation with the young people who will be responsible for the future of Damyang’s agriculture," and added, "As someone who once farmed myself, I hope you can think of me not as a difficult mayor, but as someone approachable, like an uncle."
Mayor Jeong further emphasized, "We will thoroughly review the opinions shared today so they can be reflected in agricultural policies, and we will spare no administrative support to ensure that young people can settle and grow stably."
