Jang Beomsik, CEO of Asia Economy (pictured), stated at the "2025 Asia Future Business Forum" held at Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul on the 11th, "Quantum computers demonstrate the potential to solve complex and massive problems much faster than we can today," adding, "We now stand at another turning point."

In his opening speech, CEO Jang said, "Looking back, humanity has paved its way through technology. The steam engine transformed industry, semiconductors revolutionized computation, and the internet connected the world." He further emphasized, "Artificial intelligence is becoming a tool that supplements human thought itself, and quantum computer technology, which may seem distant at first glance, is deeply connected to the problems we must solve in the future."


This event, hosted by Asia Economy and sponsored by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Federation of Korean Industries, and the Future Quantum Convergence Forum, was held under the theme "Exploring the Industrialization of Quantum Computing Technology." Leading research institutions and companies from around the world introduced the present and future of quantum computer technology, while Korean companies sought practical solutions for integrating this technology into industry.

CEO Jang mentioned some of humanity's toughest challenges, such as energy efficiency, new drug development, environmental response, logistics optimization, and cyber security, stating, "Quantum technology can become a breakthrough in areas where existing technologies have been far from providing answers." He continued, "We must deeply reflect on what kind of future these solutions will bring to human life."


He said, "Global big tech companies such as IBM, Microsoft, and Google have already entered the field of quantum computing research and are producing tangible results. The day when quantum computing will be used across various industries is not far off," stressing, "What matters is not who develops the technology first, but who utilizes it better and envisions further ahead."
