Largest Electric Power Industry Expo Outside Seoul Opens at Daegu EXCO with 105 Companies Participating Exhibition hall view of the Electric Industry Expo held last year

This year’s expo will feature 105 companies from the electric power industry, including those specializing in power generation, transmission and distribution, substation equipment, electric plants, new energy businesses, and the nuclear industry, with a total of 400 booths. The event will be organized into themed zones, including the Korea Electric Power Corporation & Power Generation Companies and Partners Pavilion, the Electric Safety Zone, and the Gyeongsangbuk-do Renaissance Nuclear Special Zone, where the latest technologies and products will be showcased.

In particular, the "Gyeongsangbuk-do Renaissance Nuclear Special Zone" will be led by the Korea Nuclear Export Industry Association, which, together with six small and medium-sized enterprises, will present the future vision and core technologies of the nuclear industry. Major domestic nuclear institutions such as Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, Korea Power Engineering Company, Korea Radioactive Waste Agency, and Doosan Enerbility will participate, emphasizing the importance of nuclear power in responding to climate change and energy security.

Additionally, the "Safety Special Zone," established in response to the expanded enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, will feature 15 companies, including Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, Jinheung ENG, and Gaon Co., Ltd., introducing electrical safety technologies and solutions. This is expected to provide electric industry professionals with opportunities to share field-oriented safety innovation cases.

During the exhibition, customized business meetings will be held, inviting both domestic and international buyers. On June 12, export consultations will take place in person with global buyers from Japan, China, Qatar, India, Austria, and other countries. In addition, one-on-one purchasing consultations will be arranged between 30 power generation companies and public institutions’ procurement managers and participating companies, offering opportunities to expand domestic sales channels.

A variety of side events aimed at enhancing expertise and facilitating technology exchange will also be held. The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers seminar on June 12 will focus on next-generation technologies such as "mobility electrification technology" and "electrical fire prevention technology." The Korea Nuclear Export Industry Association session will discuss the global expansion of the nuclear industry and strategies for responding to changes in the climate system. Other practical training sessions include the Electrical Equipment Inspection and Testing Standards (KESC) seminar, the KEC Application Accident Prevention Technology seminar, and consortium employee job training.

Additionally, a free seminar open to the general public will take place in the exhibition hall’s seminar room on June 12 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Main topics will include electrical fire prevention technology, electric motor design and diagnostic technology, and case studies on the development of electric compressors.

The visiting hours for the 2025 International Electric Power Industry Expo Korea are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the closing time on the final day, June 13, set at 4:00 p.m.
