The main contents of the agreement include: ▲joint promotion of regulatory innovation, ▲establishment and operation of a cooperative system for regulatory improvement, ▲sharing and investigation of regulatory information and case studies, and ▲cooperation in promotional activities. With this agreement, Chungcheongnam-do plans to enhance the competitiveness of local businesses and inject vitality into the regional economy by working with the Small and Medium Business Ombudsman, a specialized regulatory improvement agency, to address unreasonable regulations.
Kim Taeheum, Governor of Chungcheongnam-do, said, "Our province is a hub for advanced industries such as semiconductors, displays, and future vehicles, where large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises have built a solid industrial ecosystem. For this reason, I hope we can work with the Small and Medium Business Ombudsman, a specialized regulatory improvement agency, to eliminate unreasonable regulations and significantly strengthen corporate competitiveness."
Choi Seungjae, Small and Medium Business Ombudsman, stated, "Bold regulatory innovation is necessary for companies to gather and grow in the process of promoting Chungcheongnam-do's strategic industries, such as the development of Bay Valley and the transition to carbon neutrality and energy transformation. As a first step, we plan to hold a joint meeting with Chungcheongnam-do in the near future to resolve current regulatory issues, including easing the designation criteria for alley-type shopping districts, which is also related to the new government's policy pledges."
