The Korea Financial Investment Association's Korea Institute of Financial Investment Education announced on June 9 that it will offer the 12th 'Seoul Fintech Academy' program free of charge to foster fintech professionals. Applications for the program will be accepted until June 24. The course will begin on July 4.
The Seoul Fintech Academy program is jointly organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Financial Investment Association to nurture professionals for the fintech industry. The program aims to cultivate convergence-type talent equipped with both financial and IT expertise, enabling them to be immediately deployed in the field in response to the demand for fintech professionals.
The program is open to employees of financial and fintech companies, university and graduate students interested in fintech, job seekers, and prospective entrepreneurs. It consists of a fintech-focused core module and specialized tracks tailored to different sectors of the financial industry.
The program is expected to contribute to the development of core talent in the fintech industry by providing practical training that reflects recent trends in fintech, such as ChatGPT and artificial intelligence.
The course will be conducted over nine weeks from July 4 to September 6 at the Korea Institute of Financial Investment Education, using a blended learning (BL) method that combines e-learning and in-person classes.
