Singer Sean and 2,200 Citizens Walk 6.6km on Memorial Day... 316 Million Won Donated Singer Sean is announcing the 316 million won raised at the "2025 6.6 Walking Festival" held on the 6th. Korea Habitat

Korea Habitat, an international non-profit organization dedicated to housing welfare, held the "2025 6.6 Walking Festival" together with singer Sean.

On this Memorial Day, a total of 2,200 citizens participated in the event held at Namsan Park in Seoul, walking 6.6 kilometers to honor the sacrifice of fallen patriots and national heroes, and to express gratitude to those who served the nation.

The full amount of the participation fees collected from the attendees, totaling 66 million won, was donated to a fund aimed at improving the living conditions of national merit recipients. Citibank Korea contributed 250 million won in sponsorship, and The North Face provided rewards such as T-shirts and children's items.

This year's walking festival reached full registration just two weeks after opening, and saw an increase in family participation compared to last year. In particular, a special program for elementary school students was newly introduced: children who walked the 6.6 kilometers could complete a "stamp mission event" by solving Memorial Day-related quizzes and collecting stamps to form the shape of the Taegeukgi (Korean national flag). Children who completed the mission received special rewards sponsored by The North Face.

The event was attended by Lee Gwanghoe, Secretary General of Korea Habitat, and campaign ambassador singer Sean, and was hosted by popular YouTuber "Chunjae Lee Seungkuk." In addition, actors Jin Seonkyu and Lim Saemi, members of Sean's running crew "Unknown Crew," joined the meaningful walk to help spread positive influence.

Singer Sean said, "I am grateful to be able to commemorate Memorial Day meaningfully with so many people again this year," adding, "I hope the 6.6 Walking Festival will become more than just an event, but will establish a culture of gratitude and remembrance."

Lee Gwanghoe, Secretary General of Korea Habitat, stated, "I am thankful that so many citizens joined us again this year. All of these meaningful steps and donations will be used entirely to improve the living conditions of national merit recipients," adding, "We will continue to express our gratitude through ongoing campaigns such as the 3.1 Run and 815 Run."

Since launching the "815 Run" with singer Sean on Liberation Day in 2020, Korea Habitat has held housing improvement campaigns for descendants of independence patriots every year on March 1 and August 15. With the donations collected, the organization has provided comfortable homes to 19 families of independence patriots' descendants so far, and plans to hold the "2025 815 Run" on this year's Liberation Day as well.
