Sangju, Gyeongbuk Holds Resident Briefing Ahead of National Safety Experience Center Construction... "Hopes for Enhanced Safety Awareness" Sangju City, Gyeongbuk Province, is holding a resident briefing session for the National Safety Experience Center construction support project.

At this briefing session, representatives from the construction company and other stakeholders attended and provided detailed explanations on key matters, including the background and schedule of the project, the surrounding environment, and issues related to access roads.

During the Q&A session, residents expressed a variety of opinions and concerns, and the city plans to actively reflect these in the project.

The National Safety Experience Center will be a facility where people can experience various disaster situations such as wildfires, landslides, flooding, and typhoons as if they were real. It will consist of six experience zones, 19 experience rooms, and 31 experiential events. The total project cost amounts to 58.8 billion won.

Sangju City expects that the construction of this experience center will help raise public awareness of safety and strengthen disaster response capabilities among residents of the province. Additionally, the city anticipates a positive effect on the local economy due to an increase in visitors to the center.

Kim Jincheol, head of the Safety and Disaster Division of Sangju City, stated, "There may be some inconveniences during the construction process, but this is a valuable investment for the safety of our citizens," and asked for residents' understanding and cooperation.
