On June 6, Uiseong County announced that it had completed the "Joseongji Cheongsan Walking Trail Project," which began construction in December last year as part of the "Joseongji Tourism Belt Project." As a result, a total of 4.5 kilometers of waterfront walking paths have been completed.

With this project, a 1.6-kilometer section starting from the entrance of Jangguk 1-ri Village now features a waterfront deck and deck bridge, offering visitors a new walking course where they can enjoy the waterside scenery up close and experience the so-called "mulmeong" (relaxing by the water).

The trail has been designed for everyone to walk comfortably, providing rest and relaxation for people of all ages.

An ecological park, established last year, is also located in the area of 616 Cheongsan-ri near Joseongji, allowing for picnics and nature experiences.

This area features a suspension bridge, deck stairs, and a summit observatory, giving visitors a panoramic view of Joseongji and attracting visitors throughout the year.

Joseongji, the largest reservoir in the county, spans Jangguk-ri, Cheongsan-ri, and Joseong-ri in Gucheon-myeon, Uiseong County, and was created in 1959 to secure agricultural water.

Currently, fishing is prohibited in the area to protect fish resources, and thanks to its deep waters and the surrounding mountains, the reservoir boasts beautiful scenery all year round.

In particular, during March and April, when cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the cherry blossom paths around the reservoir create a spectacular sight, drawing crowds of spring visitors.

Kim Jusu, the governor of Uiseong County, stated, "With this tourism belt project, Joseongji, which is blessed with natural beauty, has been reborn as a new healing tourism destination in the western region of Uiseong. We will continue to enhance the region's competitiveness and improve residents' quality of life by developing nature-friendly tourism resources."
