The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Park Sungho) will hold the "1st BJFEZ Corporate Field Forum" at 7:00 a.m. on June 25 at the National Assembly Busan Library.
In response to the rapidly changing global economic environment, the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority aims to create a "business-friendly free economic zone" by strengthening its collaborative network with companies, related organizations, groups, and associations. Starting this year, the authority will operate the "BJFEZ Corporate Field Forum" as a regular event to promote mutual development through customized administrative support for tenant companies and continuous networking opportunities.
The "BJFEZ Corporate Field Forum" will be held quarterly, and this inaugural event will focus on addressing practical issues faced by tenant companies, such as securing foreign workers and the lack of residential infrastructure. Through a joint hosting system with the Tenant Companies Council, companies will participate directly in planning, and both the public and private sectors will collaborate on everything from speaker recommendations to Q&A sessions, aiming to establish the forum as a cooperative policy platform.
During the forum, officials from Busan Metropolitan City (Population Policy Officer) and Gyeongnam Province (Director of Industrial Workforce) will give keynote presentations, sharing information on visa system procedures, employment and labor systems for foreign workers, and best practices in customized education for foreigners. In addition, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Employment and Labor will introduce support systems and policy directions for foreigners, as well as policies to improve and support the residential environment for companies and workers. Active discussions among participants are expected.
The event will be attended by tenant companies as well as representatives from the Busan Immigration Office, Changwon Immigration Office, Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office, Changwon Employment and Labor Office, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Gyeongnam Investment and Economy Promotion Agency, Busan Main Customs, Consulate-General of Japan in Busan, Foreign Workers Support Center, European Chamber of Commerce in Korea, Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation regional headquarters, and other local governments and related organizations, who will listen directly to the voices of the business community.
This forum is co-hosted by BJFEZ and the Tenant Companies Council and will operate on a pre-registration basis.
Those wishing to participate can register until June 24 via the official BJFEZ website or by scanning the QR code on the event poster or card news.
Commissioner Park Sungho stated, "Securing foreign workers and creating a stable residential environment are key tasks for the sustainable growth of companies," adding, "We will continue to provide opportunities for companies and organizations to seek solutions together and promote regional development."
