Integrating Cutting-Edge AI Technology Drives Qualitative Growth in Research
The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development’s Innovative Korean Medicine Technology Development Project Group held an expert training session to strengthen evidence-based research capabilities at the Babieng2 Education Center in Seoul on June 4.
On the 4th, an expert training session to strengthen evidence-based research capabilities was held at the Babieng2 Education Center in Seoul.
A total of 50 participants-including clinicians, public health doctors, students from colleges (and graduate schools) of Korean medicine, and healthcare professionals-attended the training, which focused on practical content that can be directly applied in the field of clinical research in Korean medicine.
In particular, the training centered on generative AI-based academic writing and practical skills for writing case reports, covering a variety of topics such as: ▲Overview of academic writing using generative AI (Professor Kim Kyuhwan, Incheon National University) ▲Step-by-step strategies for academic writing with generative AI (Specialist Researcher Lim Junseo, Asan Medical Center) ▲Precautions and ethical issues when using generative AI (Research Fellow Shin Junseok, National Institute for Science and Technology Human Resources Development) ▲Case reports in practice: considering the reviewer’s perspective (Professor Lim Jeongtae, Wonkwang University).
Participants expressed a high level of satisfaction, noting that the training is highly applicable in clinical and research settings and is also recognized as continuing education for Korean medicine doctors.
Lee Junhyuk, head of the project group, said, “We expect this training-which covers academic writing methods using the latest technologies such as generative AI, practical skills for writing case reports, and research ethics required of researchers-to lead to qualitative improvements in Korean medicine research.”
The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development plans to continue its expert training series on July 9, with the next session focusing on ‘Korean Medicine Standard Clinical Practice Guidelines Applicable in Clinical Settings.’
