In the first session, Hwangbo Hyunwoo, a world-renowned expert in data science and professor at Seoul National University, will deliver the opening presentation on the topic 'Navigating Rapidly Changing AI Trends as a Data Scientist.' He is expected to present the competencies and response strategies needed in the tourism industry in the AI era. Following this, Kim Eunhee, CEO of Raon Data & Consulting, will introduce 'Run-Trip,' which has rapidly gained attention alongside the growing demand for running. She will discuss the characteristics of Run-Trip, a travel experience that combines running and tourism, and provide tourism marketing strategies based on persona analysis of participants and recommended courses for each type, all grounded in data.

The second session will focus on how to utilize the Korea Tourism Data Lab. The Korea Road Traffic Authority will share successful cases of addressing issues through public-private data collaboration using the Data Lab. Finally, the Tourism Data Strategy Team of the Korea Tourism Organization will demonstrate and present practical applications of the Data Lab, focusing on local case studies such as the Daejeon Bread Festival, the real needs of tourists, and the development of best-selling products.

Anyone interested can apply to attend, but only the first 150 applicants will be accepted by June 12. More details about the seminar can be found in the Data Lab announcements.

Lee Misook, Head of the Tourism Data Strategy Team at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "With the rapid changes in the domestic and international tourism business environment due to advances in AI and other cutting-edge technologies, the Korea Tourism Organization is committed to enhancing the data utilization capabilities of local governments and tourism companies." She added, "In the next seminar scheduled for the third quarter, we plan to identify and recognize companies and institutions that have successfully integrated the Korea Tourism Data Lab into their operations, share their case studies, and present awards."
