Daebang Industrial Development has successfully closed the non-priority subscription for the residential officetel "Dongtan Hosu Park Daebang Elium Lake Park," which it constructed in Dongtan 2 New Town, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, amid high public interest.
According to Korea Real Estate Board's subscription portal, on June 4 (Wednesday), a total of 291 applicants competed for six units available due to contract cancellations at Dongtan Hosu Park Daebang Elium Lake Park's residential officetel, resulting in an average competition ratio of 48.5 to 1.
The highest competition ratio was for the 84㎡OA exclusive type, with 101 applicants vying for a single unit, resulting in a 101 to 1 competition ratio. Another housing type, the 84㎡OB exclusive, also closed with a double-digit competition ratio of 38 to 1.
A sales representative stated, "The fact that this is the last complex with views of Dongtan Hosu Park, the planned transfer station for Dongtan Tram Lines 1 and 2, and the extension of the Bundang Line (currently under development) have all contributed to the high level of convenience, which attracted interested buyers to apply." The representative added, "Additionally, temporary financial benefits such as a two-year, 20% deferred payment with no interest, a prepayment discount worth approximately 60 million KRW, and support for 50% of the acquisition tax, as well as free premium options including luxury appliances and hotel-grade interiors, are expected to lead to smooth contract completion following the subscription phase."
Meanwhile, the complex is being praised for its design, which is considered a viable alternative to small apartments. The living room features a 2.5-meter tray ceiling and reinforced glass railings, maximizing both openness and views. In particular, the complex's key advantage?views of Dongtan Hosu Park (except for some units)?is expected to be even more accessible.
There are also various transportation benefits, making it easier to travel across the metropolitan area, including Seoul's Gangnam district. According to Hwaseong City Hall, a station serving both Dongtan Tram Lines 1 and 2 is planned near the complex, with routes connecting Suwon Mangpo to Osan and Byeongjeom to Dongtan 2 New Town. This will also provide access to Dongtan Station, where the Suseo High-Speed Railway (SRT) and the Metropolitan Express Railway (GTX) Line A are currently operating, and the Indeogwon Line is also scheduled to be added.
The announcement of successful applicants for the non-priority subscription is scheduled for June 10 (Tuesday), and the official contract signing will take place on June 11 (Wednesday).
