Boseong County Announces Open Call for Artists for Korean Tea Museum Special Exhibition

Boseong County in South Jeolla Province announced that it is accepting open applications for artists for the second half of 2025 Korean Tea Museum special exhibition under the theme "Tea and Local Culture" until the 16th.


This open call is part of an initiative to expand Boseong's identity as a center of tea culture into the realm of arts and culture. It focuses on visual arts using Boseong tea culture as a creative subject, and encourages participation from both individual artists and tea-related organizations.

Eligible applicants include artists or groups both within and outside Boseong, organizations and tea houses that are preserving and promoting tea culture, and a wide range of creators from various genres.


The fields open for application include painting, sculpture, crafts, photography, calligraphy, literature, video art, and artifact exhibitions. At least 30% of the exhibited works must be related to tea.


Additionally, a "Tea and Art: Docent Program," in which the artists themselves serve as guides, will also be operated. Participation in this program is limited to those who register in advance.


The exhibition will be held six times in succession from August to December at the Korean Tea Museum's special exhibition hall. Each round will last an average of 19 days, and a total of six artists or groups will be selected.
