The 'Youth Honorary Creator Training Project' was launched through a participatory budgeting proposal by Hanam City's Youth Mate (Youth Honorary Mayor and Youth Policy Advisory Group). The project was designed to strengthen young people's IT and media capabilities and to promote youth policy initiatives more actively.
In February, Hanam City recruited 20 young people interested in video content production. From March to May, the city provided a total of 12 sessions of hands-on professional training focused on video planning, filming, and editing. As a result, 16 young people who met the course completion requirements were ultimately appointed.
The appointed Youth Honorary Creators will directly plan and produce content related to youth policy until December, and will participate in key policy sites and events, among other activities. In particular, they will interpret policies from the perspective of young people and play a role in strengthening communication between the city and youth through various social media content, such as videos and card news.
A Hanam City official stated, "It is very meaningful for young people to demonstrate their abilities in line with the changing media environment and to participate directly in policy promotion," adding, "We hope that the activities of the Youth Honorary Creators will attract more interest and participation from young people and serve as an opportunity to increase understanding of Hanam City's youth policies."
The content produced by these creators can be found on the official Youth Mate Instagram account (@youth_hanam) and YouTube channel.
