Daegu Shinbo is currently operating family-friendly policies to help create an environment conducive to childbirth and child-rearing, aiming to build a society where it is easier to have and raise children and to contribute to overcoming the low birth rate.
In particular, the company has expanded the eligibility period for reduced working hours during pregnancy to cover the entire pregnancy and recognizes up to three years of parental leave per child to help ease the burden of childcare.
Additionally, to promote work-life balance and change perceptions about low birth rates, Daegu Shinbo has introduced and operates systems such as PC-OFF, working hours savings leave, Family Love Day, and childcare leave.
Jinwoo Park, Chairman of Daegu Shinbo, stated, "The crisis of low birth rates and aging is a shared challenge that we all need to address for the future of our region and country. Our foundation will continue to pay close attention and actively participate to improve awareness of population issues and to create an environment where people can feel secure about having and raising children."
Daegu Credit Guarantee Foundation nominated Joongkwon Kim, Chairman of Gyeongbuk Credit Guarantee Foundation, as the next participant.
