Plan to Systematize Field-Oriented Administration

The meeting was convened to analyze the impact of the new national policy direction under President Lee Jaemyung's inauguration on district administration and to discuss strategies to turn these changes into opportunities for the development of Gangseo District.
Mayor Jin emphasized that, in line with the new government's vision of a "country where the people are the owners," the district will more actively reflect residents' opinions in its administration. To this end, he announced plans to establish a comprehensive "District Administration Advisory Committee" that goes beyond the existing department-based committees. In addition, he outlined a plan to systematize on-site patrols to strengthen field-oriented administration and called on local district heads to take the lead in resolving community issues.
He also stated, "We will focus on securing growth engines for Gangseo District in connection with the new government's vision of 'a country that grows and develops vigorously again,'" and announced plans to actively discover projects aligned with government policies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) technology advancement and the transition to renewable energy, to secure government funding.
In line with the vision of "a country where everyone prospers together," the district plans to closely coordinate major development projects?such as the Gangbuk Cross-Line project, utilization of the Magok retention basin, development of the Gimpo Airport Innovation District, and the easing of height restrictions?with new government policies to gain momentum for implementation.
Under the vision of "a country where culture flourishes," the district will go beyond routine cultural support to pursue creative and large-scale cultural projects, and will actively work to develop cultural content that leverages local characteristics, such as attracting K-pop performance venues.
Furthermore, in accordance with the principle of "a safe and peaceful country," Mayor Jin stressed that the district will thoroughly prepare safety measures to respond to natural disasters such as heavy rainfall and typhoons during the summer season.
Mayor Jin Kyohun said, "Our role is to uphold the fundamental duties of administration and provide residents with stable and consistent services," adding, "Even with the advent of a new government, we will do our utmost to maintain the stability of our existing approach while also ensuring that better services are provided to residents through close alignment with new government policies."
