This performance is part of the "Street Culture Revitalization Project," which aims to infuse art into citizens' daily lives. High-quality performances spanning various genres are scheduled to take place on outdoor stages in the city center.

The performances will be held every Wednesday and Friday at 7:30 p.m. from June 11 to June 20. The venues are Jasang Saetgang Ecological Park and the Geumosan Baekkopmadang, where a total of four performances will be presented to the public.

Jasang Saetgang Ecological Park is recognized as an ecological retreat within the city, while Geumosan Baekkopmadang is a popular gathering spot for hikers and citizens alike.

Since March 2025, the Gumi Cultural Foundation has been managing these two outdoor venues under a consignment agreement, and the upcoming performances are expected to further solidify their status as citizen-participatory art spaces.

The performance program features a variety of genres, including: ▲classical ensemble ▲vocal and jazz ▲Korean traditional music and cello ensemble ▲tango and fusion.

On June 11, violinist Oh Sujin and flutist Kim Jinsol will lead a classical ensemble, presenting "Resonance of Harmony."

On June 13, baritone Kim Hyungjun and pianist Kim Jeongsik will perform "Song of Freedom," blending vocal music and jazz.

On June 18, haegeum player Kim Bohye and cellist Kim Yujin will collaborate on a Korean traditional music and cello performance, offering "Sound of Empathy," which bridges tradition and modernity.

On June 20, bandoneon player Kim Seonyang and pianist Choi Hoonrak will close the series with "Melody of Romance," encompassing tango and fusion genres.

Performances will take place at Jasang Saetgang Ecological Park on Wednesdays and at Geumosan Baekkopmadang on Fridays.

A special performance is also planned. Instructors from the "Onmaeul Choir" project, operated by the Gumi Cultural Foundation, will participate in a concert on June 21 at 3:00 p.m. at Geumosan Baekkopmadang.

Soprano Kang Eungu, soprano Cho Younghee, and pianist Baek Chunhye, among others, will take the stage to share classical and other diverse genres of music with the public.

Starting with these performances, the Gumi Cultural Foundation plans to continue regular street culture programs in the second half of the year, and will also pursue specialized exhibition projects utilizing the outdoor spaces of the Gumi Visual Media Center.

Lee Hanseok, CEO of the Gumi Cultural Foundation, stated, "We hope that encountering art on the street will add romance and richness to citizens' daily lives and help establish Gumi as a city of culture and the arts. We will continue to work with local artists to create a citizen-centered cultural ecosystem."
