Performance at Munhui Art Hall on June 20-21
A Touching Drama Blending Korean Pop Songs
To celebrate the reopening of Jungang Culture Park, the city of Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang Province, will stage the jukebox musical "Journey to Myself" at the Munhui Art Hall in the Mungyeong Culture and Arts Center on June 20 and 21.
This performance is the sixth program in the "2025 Performance Han-Day Series" organized by the Mungyeong Culture and Arts Center. It tells the story of a person standing at the end of their life, looking back on the past and embarking on a journey to find true healing and love.
The protagonist, having cut off relationships with others due to childhood wounds, is diagnosed with terminal cancer. At a turning point in life, the protagonist sets out with a man met by chance to find three people who had a significant impact on their life. The musical delicately portrays the inner wounds and recovery of the human spirit through encounters with each of these individuals.
The musical features familiar Korean pop songs such as "Not Alone," "You and the Rain," and "Snail," aiming to deliver both comfort and emotional resonance to the audience.
In particular, a variety of performances and emotional stage direction are expected to provide Mungyeong citizens with a high-quality cultural and artistic experience.
Tickets are priced at 3,000 won for all seats, and the performance is open to elementary school students and older. Reservations can be made on-site at the main auditorium of the Mungyeong Culture and Arts Center or through the online website starting at 9:00 a.m. on June 10.
