Top Performance in the 2024 Project Evaluation
Strengthening a Field-Oriented, Practical Discussion Framework
The Design and Cultural Content Industrial Skills Council (ISC), operated by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, has achieved the highest 'S grade' in the 2024 ISC Project Performance Evaluation organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
There are a total of 21 industry-specific ISCs, which are industry-tailored talent development projects operated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor since 2015. The Design and Cultural Content ISC is led by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion as the main institution, with major organizations, companies, and labor groups such as the Korea Creative Content Agency and the Korea Design Industry Association participating.
This achievement marks the first time since the launch of the Design and Cultural Content ISC in 2015 that it has received the highest grade, recognizing its outstanding external performance and operational capabilities.
In this performance evaluation, the Design and Cultural Content ISC received consistently high marks across all categories, including strengthening industry representation, enhancing the quality of its unique projects, and achieving employment-linked outcomes.
In particular, the ISC was highly rated for establishing an organic linkage structure between the steering committee and subcommittees, nearly doubling the number of committee meetings compared to the previous year, and reinforcing a field-oriented, practical discussion framework.
Additionally, the ISC was recognized for its employment-linked outcomes, including conducting surveys on the current status of industrial manpower related to generative AI, monitoring job changes, publishing issue reports, and the achievements of youth job placement programs.
Yoon Sangheum, President of the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, stated, "Going forward, we will continue to strengthen job response and talent development programs in line with technological changes such as generative artificial intelligence, and take the lead in securing sustainable competitiveness in the design and cultural content industry."
