Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province will host the 'Hwaseong Special City Special Concert' for citizens at Yeoul Park in Dongtan on June 7.
The city explained that this event, organized together with the Hwaseong City Foundation for Culture and Tourism, was planned to broaden citizens' opportunities to enjoy culture and to provide cultural and artistic content befitting the status of a special city.
The pre-show performance will feature Heritage, a group acclaimed both domestically and internationally for their soul R&B and black gospel music. In the first part of the main concert, 'Immortal Songs in Hwaseong,' Park Ki-young and Lee Seokhoon will present reinterpretations of popular classics in their own unique styles. The second part, 'Special Music in Hwaseong,' will showcase diverse performances across genres by 10CM, Guckkasten, and Lee Seunghwan.
The concert will be free of charge and open to everyone without prior registration.
Jung Myunggeun, Mayor of Hwaseong, said, "This event is a venue for culture and the arts that demonstrates the dignity of Hwaseong Special City as a cultural city," adding, "It will be a special time to enjoy music and inspiration in everyday life."
