A Total of 16 Companies Selected; Full-Scale Smart Safety Management Consulting and System Support Begins in June
Budget Increased from 20 Million to 50 Million Won, Number of Supported Companies Rises from 6 to 16, Support Period Extended up to 8 Months
The Busanjin-Hae Economic Free Zone Authority (Commissioner Park Sungho) has finalized the selection of 16 companies to participate in the "2025 Smart Safety Management Program Support Project for Resident Companies to Prevent Serious Accidents." Full-scale support for these companies will begin in June.
This project has been promoted since last year to alleviate the safety management burden on small-scale workplaces by supporting smart safety management programs aimed at preventing violations of the Serious Accident Punishment Act.
Previously, the project targeted companies with more than 5 and up to 100 regular employees. However, in response to active requests from companies and on-site demand, the restriction on the number of employees has been lifted, expanding the scope of support to all resident companies within the zone.
This year, the project budget has been significantly increased from 20 million won last year to 50 million won. As a result, the number of supported companies has expanded from 6 to 16, and the support period has been extended to a maximum of 8 months.
Participating companies will receive comprehensive safety management solutions, including: ▲ expert consulting on serious accident prevention, ▲ establishment of smart safety and health management systems, and ▲ customized labor consulting for each company.
The project will be carried out by professional institutions with qualifications such as industrial safety and certified labor attorneys. It will be implemented as a customized program reflecting the industrial characteristics of each company. Through this, the authority aims to help companies proactively respond to the Serious Accident Punishment Act and establish a safe working environment.
Commissioner Park Sungho stated, "By fully expanding the scope of support, we have enabled all companies within the zone to receive substantial safety management benefits," adding, "We will continue to actively support resident companies in strengthening their safety and health systems and establishing a foundation for sustainable growth."
Detailed information about the project and future schedules can be found in the notices and announcements section of the Busanjin-Hae Economic Free Zone Authority website.
