Online Applications Accepted Until the 15th of This Month
Geumcheon-gu in Seoul is recruiting 15 cultural content creators until June 15 to capture the vivid stories of the local community on video.
This project was planned to uncover Geumcheon-gu's hidden charms and to promote communication among residents and the formation of a village community. The selected creators will participate in monthly planning meetings from June to November, select various topics related to Geumcheon-gu, and personally plan, shoot, and edit videos to share the stories of Geumcheon-gu from their own perspectives.
Main video topics will include local events such as the Harmony Festival and the Jeongjo Daewang Royal Procession, as well as visits to the History Archives, water play areas, and senior cooling centers. A variety of content will be produced each month. Production teams whose videos are approved for upload after evaluation meetings will receive a set activity fee.
Eligibility is open to adults who are interested in video production and either reside in Geumcheon-gu or are active in the district. Applications can be submitted online via the QR code on promotional materials, or by contacting the Geumcheon-gu Office's Autonomous Administration Division (02-2627-2179).
A district official stated, "The produced video content will help widely promote the charms of Geumcheon-gu through various online channels such as Instagram, YouTube, and the district website."
Yoo Seonghun, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "I hope that the fresh ideas and talents of residents who actually live in Geumcheon-gu will be transformed into attractive content that breathes new vitality into the district, and that Geumcheon-gu's image will change even more positively."
