Summer Arrives with Thrilling Water Slides
One Piece Collaboration: Pirate King Luffy Makes His Everland Debut
Everland will open its new summer experience facility, 'Water Buster,' on the 6th. This thrilling ride allows visitors to ride a tube and plunge down a slope from a height of 6 meters. Originally scheduled to debut around June 20 with the start of the summer festival, the opening has been moved up by about two weeks for an early launch.
Samsung C&T Resort Division announced on June 2 that Water Buster will open early due to the early arrival of summer heat. Water Buster, which consists of 14 lanes across two types of slides?Splash Slide and Rail Slide?is a new activity experience facility prepared by Everland for the summer festival. Visitors can enjoy it at the Alpine Village area, where the Snow Buster sledding hill operates during the winter.

The Splash Slide (6 lanes) is a giant air-bounce tube slide. Riders start from a 6-meter-high platform where water flows, sit on a tube, and launch themselves. After a steep 45-degree drop, they race down a 110-meter-long slope, enjoying a refreshing and exhilarating ride. On the Rail Slide (8 lanes), visitors can ride a wheeled sled down a 90-meter-long sloped rail. For the summer season, sprinklers and water sprays have been installed to provide an even cooler sliding experience.
In addition, in collaboration with the global IP 'One Piece,' Everland will unveil summer festival content designed as a playground for a young pirate crew, starting from June 6, together with the opening of Water Buster.
Large gates and various spots throughout Alpine Village will feature photo zones and sculptures of popular One Piece characters. In particular, there will be a photo spot recreating the iconic scene from the animation where the protagonist Luffy receives the straw hat from Shanks and decides to become the Pirate King.
Restaurants and other venues will also be transformed into One Piece character-themed spaces. Unique collaboration menu items and merchandise will be introduced, including 'Sanji's Icy Mango,' 'Chopper's Big Marble Ice Cream,' and 'Zoro's Three-Sword Skewer.'

Meanwhile, Korea's largest water park, Caribbean Bay, will begin operating additional outdoor water facilities from June 6. After completing spring renovations, Caribbean Bay reopened last month and has been operating some outdoor facilities such as the wave pool. Popular outdoor attractions like Tower Boomerango, Tower Raft, and Kiddie Pool will be operated first, with plans to open Aqua Loop, Adventure Pool, and others starting June 23.
