Democratic Party Bicycle Promotion Team Encourages Voting Across the City

Starting from Gwangju City Hall on the 2nd,
Riding to the May 18 Democracy Square

The Gwangju City Election Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea announced on the 1st that it will operate a bicycle promotion team on the 2nd, the day before the 21st presidential election, to encourage citizens to cast their valuable votes.

About 50 members of the bicycle promotion team will depart from Gwangju City Hall at 10:30 a.m. on the 2nd and ride approximately 10 kilometers to the 5·18 Democracy Square.

This campaign aims to raise public interest in the election and encourage voter participation. The route will proceed from Gwangju City Hall to the Express Bus Terminal, Hyundai Motor Company Honam Regional Headquarters, in front of Jungheung S-Class Centum Park Apartments in Im-dong, Daekwang Rojeviang Apartments on Geumnam-ro, Geumnam-ro 5-ga Station, Geumnam-ro 4-ga Station, and finally to the 5·18 Democracy Square.

Yang Bunam, the chief standing election committee chairperson for Gwangju, said, "We plan to operate the bicycle promotion team to draw citizens' attention to the election and to highlight the importance of participating in the vote."
