Lee Jaemyung Embarks on Final Weekend 'Gyeongbu Line' Campaign, Emphasizing Integration and Growth

Today Gyeonggi and Chungcheong, Tomorrow TK and PK

Lee Jaemyung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, will embark on a 'Gyeongbu Line' campaign tour over the last weekend before the presidential election, starting in Gyeonggi Province on the 31st and traveling through Chungcheong to Yeongnam over two days.

After finishing his campaign in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province the previous day, Lee will begin his campaign in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province on this day, and then visit Cheongju in North Chungcheong Province, Sejong, and Daejeon.

Lee has highlighted 'integration and recovery growth' as his core message. Receiving a ship's wheel during his campaign in Pyeongtaek, he said, "Just as a captain hires a competent navigator, the president is entrusted by the people to act on their behalf," adding, "I will faithfully honor your will to create a world where everyone is happy together, achieve continuous growth that generates many opportunities, and make sure to build a nation that recovers and grows again."

He continued, "I, Lee Jaemyung, do not like dividing people into sides. Although I have endured a lot, I am not the kind of petty person who would retaliate in equal measure," stating, "Instead, I will focus my time on researching policies for the greater happiness of more people."

Lee emphasized, "If I become president, I will put an end to the politics of division, where only one's own people are cared for while others are neglected or even eliminated?a 'half-president' approach. For true integration and the happiness of the people, I will mobilize all state power, budget, and capabilities."

During his campaign in Cheongju, he promised, "I will strongly support the Chungcheong region megacity, rapidly complete the inland metropolitan railway to improve transportation conditions, and push to establish Chungcheong as a single, large, independent economic zone."

The Democratic Party explained that the southern part of Gyeonggi Province, which Lee visited on this day, is a core area for national strategic industries such as semiconductors and batteries, while the Chungcheong region is the center of science and technology and the foundation for completing the administrative capital. Thus, Lee's visits are intended to present his vision for the advancement of 'K-Industry.'

On June 1, Lee will visit his hometown of Andong in North Gyeongsang Province, as well as Daegu, Ulsan, and Busan. On the final day of the campaign, June 2, he plans to conclude his last rally in Yeouido, where the National Assembly is located, emphasizing the 'Revolution of Light' that overcame martial law.
