The Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office announced on May 30 that it held the "2025 National Veterans Affairs AI Prompton Award Winners Demonstration" to innovate work methods using AI and to promote proactive administration among its employees.

The "2025 National Veterans Affairs Prompton," held on May 22 and 23, is an idea competition hosted by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. The event was organized to drive innovation in veterans administration using artificial intelligence (AI) and to improve the quality of veterans services.

This demonstration was planned to assess whether the excellent ideas proposed through the competition could actually be applied in local veterans affairs settings, and to lay the groundwork for practical dissemination. During the competition, award recipients directly participated and explained the background and application plans for their technologies, including: ▲ AI-based classification of high-risk groups for solitary death and automation of customized welfare services; and ▲ the establishment of a support platform for physical examinations related to disability ratings.

Employees who attended the event said, "We could truly sense the potential for AI technology to be implemented in actual administrative services," and added, "Continuous attention and institutional support are needed to ensure AI is appropriately integrated into veterans affairs going forward."

Commissioner Kim Seokki stated, "It was a meaningful opportunity to directly share and experience cases of AI-based administrative innovation in the region," and added, "We will continue to actively discover AI-based ideas to realize veterans affairs in everyday life, and strive to spread awareness of work improvements using AI technology."
