A Garden Industry Expo for Everyone
Enhancing Visitor Satisfaction with Kindness and Safety

Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on May 28 that it had conducted kindness and safety training for staff to ensure the successful hosting and safe operation of the "2025 Korea Garden Industry Expo in Jinju."

The training took place at the Dareum Hall of the Jinju Wood Culture Experience Center in the Forest of Wolasan. Approximately 130 participants attended, including 50 volunteers from organizations such as the Jinju Volunteer Organization Council and the Jinju Citizen Gardener Association, as well as 80 temporary workers. The event provided a meaningful opportunity to enhance on-site response capabilities and service mindset.

The training, held under the theme "A Safe Garden Industry Expo, Impressive Service Created by Warm Responses," covered several areas: safety education, including evacuation procedures in the event of a fire, response to medical emergencies, and guidelines for action in urgent situations; kindness training, which addressed language and attitude manuals needed when interacting with visitors and methods for handling complaints; and practical training aimed at deepening understanding of job roles according to each participant's responsibilities.

Heo Hyeoncheol, Director of the Environmental and Forestry Bureau, who attended the training, stated, "The upcoming Garden Industry Expo in Jinju this June is a valuable opportunity to widely promote our region's nature and culture. Through this training, I believe our volunteers will be able to provide impressive and kind service to visitors."

Shim Myunghwan, President of the Jinju Volunteer Organization Council, added, "Our volunteers will do their utmost in their respective roles to ensure that everyone visiting Jinju can enjoy the expo safely and comfortably."

Jinju City plans to continue expanding garden culture and enabling citizens to experience the future of the garden industry firsthand by operating the expo together with citizens and maintaining various educational and cooperative initiatives.

Meanwhile, Jinju City was selected as the final host site for the "2025 Korea Garden Industry Expo" organized by the Korea Forest Service. The expo will be held for ten days from June 13 to June 22 at Chojon Park, under the theme "Life with Gardens: Practical Gardens in Everyday Life."
