Occasional Showers Expected in Seoul Metropolitan Area, Gangwon, and North Gyeongsang
Prepare for Rain During Morning Commute
Early Summer Heat with Highs Up to 28 Degrees
Caution Advised for Ultraviolet Rays and Ozone
Fine Dust Levels 'Moderate'
Significant Temperature Fluctuations and High Humidity Require Health Precautions
On the 28th, the weather across the country is expected to be mostly cloudy, with showers and light rain forecast for some areas. Commuters are advised to bring umbrellas. Temperatures will remain higher than average, continuing early summer conditions.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the morning low in Seoul is expected to be 16 degrees Celsius, with an afternoon high of 26 degrees Celsius. There is a chance of showers in the afternoon, particularly in northern Gyeonggi, Yeongseo in Gangwon, and northern inland North Gyeongsang. Some rain is also expected in Ulsan and inland areas of Gyeongsang.
An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Due to the influence of a surface trough, the central region will be cloudy, with some areas experiencing light rain in the morning. While precipitation amounts will not be significant, there may be periods when an umbrella is temporarily needed."
Fine dust levels are forecast to be in the 'good' to 'moderate' range nationwide. However, as temperatures rise, ozone concentrations may temporarily increase, so extra caution is advised during outdoor activities.
Meanwhile, daytime temperatures in Seoul, the greater metropolitan area, Chungcheong, and southern inland regions are expected to reach between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius, resulting in somewhat hot weather. The ultraviolet index will also be at a 'high' level, so sun protection is recommended during outdoor activities.
The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "With large temperature fluctuations and rain in the forecast, it is important to take care of your health. Since weather conditions may differ between morning and afternoon, please check weather updates regularly and prepare accordingly."
