The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters conducted an emergency rescue coordination drill with the participation of 37 organizations within the province.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced that it carried out the "2025 Gyeonggi-do Emergency Rescue Comprehensive Training" on May 27 from 2 PM at the Hanam Misa Rowing Stadium, with 37 related organizations in the province participating.
This comprehensive drill was conducted under the assumption of a complex disaster scenario, including a helicopter crash leading to building collapse, fire, and mass casualties.

About 430 people from 37 organizations, including the police, military, emergency medical institutions, and local governments, participated in the drill. In particular, the drill was carried out by mobilizing large-scale rescue equipment, drones, and helicopters, simulating a real disaster site.
The main components of the drill included: ▲search and rescue of trapped individuals ▲fire suppression ▲mass casualty triage and emergency treatment ▲traffic control and on-site safety management.
Kim Jaebyung, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "This drill is not just a simple exercise, but a preparation process to save the lives of residents in real disaster situations," and added, "We will do our utmost to develop response capabilities to secure the golden time and to act without any margin of error in the event of a disaster."
