This briefing session was organized to provide practical admission strategies and information to students preparing for college entrance and their parents, and to support systematic career planning.
The lecture was delivered by Bae Youngjun, an admissions expert in public education who is currently teaching at Seoul Boseong High School. On the 26th, the lecture focused on preparation and writing methods for the comprehensive student record screening process, tailored to local circumstances, and was aimed at second- and third-year high school students and their parents. On the 27th, the lecture was given to third-year middle school and first-year high school students, with the topic centered on the high school credit system, which will be reformed starting in 2028.
Dongducheon City is also operating one-on-one college admission consulting in collaboration with career guidance teachers in the city. On the 24th, counseling sessions were held for 39 second-year high school students, providing guidance tailored to each student's personality, career path, and academic achievement, which received a positive response. On the 31st, the city plans to provide practical support for college entrance to 39 third-year high school students, including analysis of admission types and guidance on how to prepare student records.
A Dongducheon City official stated, "We hope that this admission briefing session has provided students and parents with an opportunity to approach career planning in a more systematic way," and added, "We will continue to promote customized admission guidance programs that reflect the local situation."
