According to the county, the training was led by Kim Jongho, a professional instructor from the Integrity Training Institute. Rather than simply delivering theoretical content, the program was structured around real-life cases, providing public officials with criteria for judgment in various situations they may encounter in their daily work.
Through this training, the county intends to ensure a clear understanding of the regulations prohibiting abuse of power within the Code of Conduct, and to strengthen public officials' ethical capacity to put these regulations into practice, thereby fostering an administration that earns the trust of residents.
In particular, the training focused on prevention by aiming to block recurring inappropriate orders and abuses of authority in advance, and to eradicate unfair practices stemming from workplace hierarchies.
The training was attended by senior officials, including Buan County Governor Kwon Ikhyeon and department heads, who took the lead in developing the competencies needed to be integrity leaders and to eliminate abuse of power within the public sector.
Governor Kwon stated, "I will do my utmost to spread the awareness that integrity is not a choice but a duty, and to ensure that, through this training, all employees recognize the fundamental virtue of 'respecting boundaries' that they must uphold with one another, so that we can build a healthy public service community."
