Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced that it opened the 'Gujeolcho Jibang Garden Zipwire,' a flagship leisure sports facility where visitors can enjoy both nature and thrills, on the 27th.
The Gujeolcho Jibang Garden Zipwire (hereafter 'Gujeolcho Zipwire') is an aerial leisure sports facility reached by crossing the suspension bridge in Gujeolcho Jibang Garden and following the Buchibong trail. It is a forest-themed attraction where tourists can take in a panoramic view of the garden at a glance.

The zipwire starts from the summit of Buchibong, allowing riders to glide 550 meters while overlooking the Gujeolcho Garden and the clear waters of Churyeongcheon Stream. It features two lines with an average slope of 9.9%, making it accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages. Since its opening in 2023, approximately 14,000 people have experienced the ride.
The facility operates from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and is closed every Monday for regular maintenance. Admission fees are 9,000 won for adults and 7,000 won for teenagers, with a 2,000 won discount available for Jeongeup citizens and paying visitors during festival periods.
Mayor Lee Haksoo stated, "We completed a thorough safety inspection and safety staff training before opening to ensure that citizens and tourists can enjoy the facility with peace of mind," and added, "I hope the zipwire experience will provide an opportunity to relieve daily stress and promote healing."
Meanwhile, the zipwire may be closed depending on weather conditions such as rain or strong winds. For information on its operation, please call in advance.
