Chungnam Office of Education Holds "Environmental Love Parent Club Learning Session"

Special Lecture by Professor Lee Jaeyoung of Kongju National University

The Chungnam Provincial Office of Education announced on May 26 that it held the "2025 Environmental Love Parent Club Learning Session" at the Asan City Facilities Management Corporation in the afternoon, with more than 80 parents from 14 local education support offices in the province in attendance.

The learning session, held under the theme "The Role of Parents in Fostering Students' Ecological Sensitivity," featured a special lecture by Professor Lee Jaeyoung from the Department of Environmental Education at Kongju National University.

After the lecture, participants toured the household resource treatment facility within the Asan City Facilities Management Corporation to learn about examples of waste heat utilization. They also visited the Asan Environmental Science Park to gain a better understanding of the roles that institutions and households play in building a sustainable society.

Superintendent Kim Ji-cheol stated, "We will do our utmost to ensure that environmental education is firmly established in schools through ongoing cooperation with the educational community," and added, "I hope families will also begin small actions at home so that our children can grow into ecological citizens."
